Some people seemed to have trouble installing the Subnautica Multiplayer Mod Nitrox, so in this video I explain some of the most common mistaked and errors people make when installing the mod, for example with Hamachi, the installer or Qmods.

About Subnautica:

Subnautica is an open world survival game in development by Unknown Worlds Entertainment.
Subnautica allows the player to explore an aquatic alien planet by scuba diving and traveling in ,
while collecting resources and food to survive. It was released on Steam Early Access on December 16, 2014.
The Xbox release was in August 2016.

The player controls in first-person view the lone survivor of a crashed ship on an aquatic planet.
The main objective of the player is to explore the open world environment and survive the dangers of the planet, while also continuing the story.
Subnautica allows the player to collect resources, construct tools, bases, and submersibles, and interact with the planet's wildlife.
Players must keep themselves adequately hydrated and fed, and must also maintain their oxygen supply while traversing underwater.
The game also includes a day and night cycle.

Subnautica was first announced by Unknown Worlds Entertainment on December 17, 2013, with Charlie Cleveland as the game director and lead gameplay programmer,
and Hugh Jeremy as the producer.

The development team also opted against the inclusion of lethal weapons in the game. Charlie Cleveland, the game's director,
described Subnautica as "one vote towards a world with less guns," and had felt inspired by real life gun violence,
including the Sandy Hook shooting, to encourage players to think about "non-violent and more creative solutions to solve our problems."

Subnautica was released on Steam Early Access on December 16, 2014.
Subnautica was originally planned to be released on Xbox One on April 1, 2016, but was ultimately delayed by another month.

Full V1.0 release was on January 23, 2018.
An expansion (the Arctic DLC) is being worked on and it is planned to be released in early 2019. it will include new vehicles, biomes and creatures, more leviathans and the surface will play a much more important role than in the base game.

It is called Subnautica: Below Zero and will also include new gameplay mechanics and features, such as supplydrops, weather and new biomes (e.g. the Twisty Bridges, etc.)
In Below Zero, we are an Alterra employee, sent back to Planet4546b to collect data on Precursors and their facilities & technology.

Some possible new creatures are: The Snowstalker, the Glow Whale, the Crested Reaper, Ice Worms, Alien Penguins, Rockpunchers, the Shadow Leviathan and more.

We will also most likely talk to a PRECURSOR called Al-An, who uploaded their mind into one of the Precursor caches before the Kharaa wiped out most of the planet. We might have to help them get a new body by building one for them as well.

i have tried the mod but as i swap around in the grassy platous i realised that the reefbacks didnt stop spawning. Suddenly the whole map was covered with the and we couldnt save the game

helpful video! here are some bugs i have when i play multipalyer: we have the problem that everywhere not even 1 meter far away from each other spawn time capsules and metal scrap/things to scan like the seamoth and stuff.
also we have 4 times more creature spawning or so xd

So I have started a Lan server and when we exit the game all of our things in the lockers and storage is just gone, everything else is still there like our inventory and all the things thst we have scaned. Do we need to download hamachi and start anew or is there another fix to the problem?

Everything works as it should except that when my friend joins he just spins around on my screen and he gets kicked about 20 sec after joining, any way of fixing this?

when I go to log on to my server it keeps saying "seems like your firewall settings are interfering" I have checked my firewall for privet and public. and I have searched through google and still found nothing on this matter and was wondering if I could get any help thanks.

After 15 seconds playing with my friend it says "disconnected from the server"

When I equip an item in the first slot on the hot bar, it keeps unequiping when I start to move forward. For example: when equipping a flashlight for exploring in the cave system on a island, when I start to walk forward, the flashlight moves back to hot bar. This is extremely frustrating! Any recommendations?

I was trying multiplayer with a friend and while playing we didn't loose any air while in the water and also I saw no monsters but reefbacks and fishes at the spawn while my friend had monsters everywhere just like normal but it was still fun to play

Aci it says can't connect to remote network or something like that. I made sure I added the ipv4 and I tried every other IP too and even with port but to no avail.

I have a problem where the first few minutes it is the loading screen sounds and if I interact with something it plays that sound but the normal sound comes back

you should really rename this video to "how to install nitrox" because thats literally all you explained, which ive already done. youre implying here that you have some tips on how to deal with some of the endless bugs that appear while playing, and ya kinda dont. so here you go people:

1. make sure youre hosting the server with an external console. when anything in game ends up wicked out of sync, try typing in the console "save" then hit enter. then type "restart" and hit enter. this will restart the server quickly and allow a good amount of desynced stuff to fix itself, sadly not everything, but this fixes quite a bit.

2. if your friends seamoth keeps randomly blowing up, try the server restart as well, sometimes this can be fixed with just having that friend rejoin. unfortunately youll lose the power cell inside but the vehicle will still be there.

3. if radiation is desynced i suggest making your first objective to grab a suit and repair the ship. both people will have to do it individually for it to bug out the least. worst case scenario you can try command "radiation" to disable. this still only sometimes helps.

ill add more as my friend and i progress, hope yall are enjoying the mod

P.S. - with the recent building fixes to subnautica coming in the nearish future hopefully a lot of these bugs will be fixed, but yall should keep in mind for now that it can be a very messy experience at times. just have patience and use some problem solving and youll enjoy yourselves. the mod devs are doing their best!

If i spawn a vehicle with console, my friend cant see them, only if its spawned by the mobile vehicle bay, and i have some bugs with the base buildings. (sometimes its dont allowe me to deconstruct things)

hi Aci, me and my friend have tried to use this multiplayer mod. We 've create an Hamachi server, start the nitrox server but when i use the IPv4, subnautica says "unable to contact the remote server at: 25.ecc"
u know what's the problem? ty

when I tried to play with a friend his pda wouldnt get off his screen he also couldn't access his pda/inventory and he could not enter the lifepod oof

I reinstall Subnautica from hdd to ssd. I don't have any file with "Nitrox" on my pc but when I launch the installer I can only repair or remove, but that's doing nothing. I don't have second screen when I launch installer first time and I have to accepted licence or choose installing right path. PLS help
