Skoda Slavia First Look Review | What Works & What Doesn’t! | Design, Features, Specifications

The Skoda Slavia goes on sale in March 2022 and you can book one right away. Hopefully, this video will tell you if you should take that first step. Following a teaser of the outline, design sketches and a camouflaged car drive, Skoda has taken the wraps off the Slavia sedan. Based on the same MQB AO IN platform as the Kushaq, the Slavia is a bit of rebel, arriving into a market where sedans are taking nothing short of a drubbing from SUVs.

However, it promises to remind you why people loved sedans for so long with a combination of size, features, practicality and driving competence. Prices for the Slavia should start around Rs 10 lakh and go up to around Rs 16 lakh. The sedan will be a petrol only offering with both options belonging to the VW group’s TSI range of turbo-petrols. Like the Kushaq, both engines will be available with manual and automatic transmissions as well.

I really don’t understand the point of having sunroof in a country like ours where 7-8months is proper summer time with scorching heat. One feature like sunroof, if removed, gives a ton of budget to be spent on features like all 4 disc brakes, 4+4 parking sensors, heated ORVMs, all windows one touch up & down with illumination and rear seats ventilation. I know all of these features can not be accommodated but if some of these make it to the car.. they’ll be much more useful than sunroof.

A lot of the hype is lost simply because of this long wait between show launch and actual launch. Happened with the Kushaq and it’s taigun and same may happen here.

If top model hit at 15-16L ex showroom, it will be game changer . 1.5L Auto trim will be disrupting market of Corolla Altis and Elantra.
