Sam (Donahue) is a pretty college sophomore, so desperate to earn some cash for a deposit on an apartment that she accepts a babysitting job even after she finds out there is no baby. Mr. and Mrs. Ulman (cult actors Noonan and Woronov) are the older couple who lure Sam out to their creeky Victorian mansion deep in the woods, just in time for a total lunar eclipse. Megan (Gerwig) is Sams best friend, who gives her a ride out to the house, and reluctantly leaves her there despite suspecting that something is amiss. Victor (Bowen) at first seems like just a creepy guy lurking around the house, but quickly makes it clear that Sam will end this night in a bloody fight for her life....

just saw it...what a waste of time...not scary...slow built up ...and the built up dodnt even add any tension for u to even care about the movie...just meaningless shots after shots of the house....nothing happened until the last 15 min...this is one of the those movie where the critics gives it too much credit and u left disappoint after seeing it...don't take my words for it...Paranormal Acitvity was better than this.

OH please....jack happens in the movie....i got bored...and yes I like slow built movies but this doesn't Others" created a better built up..HOTD is pure boredom...this is why HOTD flopped and "The Others" succeed and made money.

This movie is such a waste of time. Such a waste of hype such a waste of time. I cannot express how much of a waste of time and disappointment with this movie was do not waste your time. Unless you have time to waste this movie could have been good. It drags on and movie sucked.

A creepy couple in a creepy house are paying her $400 to sit inside and watch TV for one night? After they lied to her to get her there in the first place? She doesnt suspect a thing...sure...

What a crappy plot....
