I’m 38 and I always refer to my stepdad as my dad but I call him by his first name. That’s out of respect for my bio dad bc he passed away when I was young. I called my stepdads friend one time and said are you with my dad he’s not answering his phone and thought nothing of it. About a week later he said that it made him feel special when I called and asked for “dad”. Just a sweet story to share 🖤 Love that you called babygirl your child!
