Quail babies like most baby birds they will do everything in their power to shuffle off this mortal coil the second they have the opportunity. They are not very bright but they are very cute.

Baby quails are absolute crazies. :-) We hatch them together with chickens and ducks. And while ducks are still laying under the heating lamp resting, quails are going absolutely crazy running around and biting each other's legs. I started calling them little buttons, cause they are so small.

So, I'm not happy about this, but on the subject of quail being accident magnets; I was jogging in eastern Washington, and a quail dead ass ran _into_ my stride!! It went absolutely flying, letting out that funning warbly sound they make 😨 It took me a moment to process what the hell had happened, because as far as I was concerned, I felt something bump my foot, and a quail took off at the same time. After a moment, it registered that quail don't usually fly by flopping end over end...😕

Silly question but are these quails pets? Ive never heard of it before (quails are absolutely not native in my area) 😂

Do you not have males so you can hatch your own? Or quail not great with that?

I thought those were Tyrannosaurus rex eggs, at first, that klaire was doing research on cloning and DNA sequencing at home

Then I realised, I’ve been watching Jurassic park to many times 🤷‍♂️

Klaire I know you speak Spanish, el Rey means the king, Rex is Latin for King 👑
