Idol Post Show: Top 3 Revealed - AMERICAN IDOL XIV

After a night of great music and heartfelt goodbyes, there's just one thing left to do: get the Idol Team's take on what went down.

As AMERICAN IDOL XIV enters a landmark season in January 2015, the search continues to find amazing talent from across the nation. Hosted by Ryan Seacrest, and featuring judges Harry Connick, Jr., Jennifer Lopez, and Keith Urban, the series empowers contestants and viewers to share their voices in deciding who will be America's next singing superstar.

Every year, tens of thousands of hopefuls from across the nation audition for a shot at stardom. The show's judges will travel across the country in search of the next AMERICAN IDOL. They narrow down the competitors to a select group of semifinalists who sing their hearts out each week in front of a studio audience and television viewers.

Eventually the competition is whittled down to two finalists who compete for a major recording contract and the AMERICAN IDOL title. Past winners Kelly Clarkson, Ruben Studdard, Fantasia Barrino, Carrie Underwood, Taylor Hicks, Jordin Sparks, David Cook, Kris Allen, Lee DeWyze, Scotty McCreery, Phillip Phillips, Candice Glover, and Caleb Johnson as well as fan-favorites Jennifer Hudson, Adam Lambert, Chris Daughtry, and Katharine McPhee, have all become household names and made their marks on the recording industry.

Like guys, come on. Clark is phenomenal, his bluesy and soulful voice is perfect. He rarely has a bad performance, if any. His mannerisms are reflections of Stevie and Ray, he has IT. I'm hoping for Jax as the first runner up but I really need Clark to win this. Nick is too original and his sound is bland. Vote Clark yall!

It's so sad to hear the news that American Idol will be cancelled after next season. Popularity never last forever. That's been true for every #1 show from the start of TV history (I Love Lucy, M.A.S.H, The Cosby Show, Friends, etc). But Idol had a longer & more successful run than any of them. And it created more superstars than any of its imitators (or predecessors). If the time has come to end the show, then so be it. But its accomplishments & its legacy will never end. I doubt that The Voice will still be on national TV after 15 years with over 1/2 of that time at #1. I don't know who'll win this season of idol. All the remaining contestants are equally deserving. But job well done & good luck to all who've ever been a part of this historic journey.
