Mongoose Eggsercise Session

The dwarf mongoose team are professional long snappers. They use this technique to crack open eggs.

Seeing this clip reminds me a lot of one of my late canine buddies - Sasha the silver Toy Poodle that my late parents welcomed into the family nearly 30 years ago, who was a month shy of turning 17 years old when she passed. Among the numerous stuffed animals, balls and other toys she enjoyed she enjoyed and was continually stimulated by, she developed an obsession fairly early on with empty plastic Easter eggs, from the cache of them that my mother was using for a spring craft project. Sasha absolutely loved chasing those all over the non-carpeted areas of my parents' home and would entertain herself for long periods, but loved it more when one of us would throw, kick, or spin the egg(s) like a top on its end. She was quite the character in her interactions with them, just like your mongooses are - albeit *a lot* more vocal than them!

Like previous commenters have remarked, I'm also definitely reminded of Rikki-Tikki-Tavi, which was a big part of my early childhood via the Chunk Jones animated adaptation that's just slightly younger than me. ☺️

Anyhow, apologies for going off on a major tangent there, but thank you for continuing to create and share these videos - they contribute a lot to momentarily provide a respite from of all of the craziness of life!
