That XR v RS test would be interesting for sure. Both of those bikes are just nuts! I honestly don't think that I could trust myself to behave on either of them, and would be constantly having to check my mirrors for blue lights 😂

Solid review. I’m glad they made it - just because they could. You’re looking trim - good on you!

I have the v4s. And the RS is amazing. Love it!

Beautiful! My right wrist forgets that my driving record is already at risk!

A g shock tells time better than a rolex that's not the point.

Honestly it’s kinda irrelevant at that price

This thing looks amazing. Fancy parts and obvious extra attention at every level. Given the general features of diminishing returns, price seems about right. Thanks for the detailed review.

Hi Rennie. Love your work going way back. I have a 1260PP, a Monster 1200R and a previous Panigale 959 bought because of your review back then.
IMHO, the Multi is a big bike. I thought the 1260 was big but the V4 is even bigger. No thank you.
I'm waiting for a V4 Supersport if I'm going to replace two bikes with one.

Hi Rennie, good work. BTW, I bought a new 2016 959 Panigale because of your review at that time. Paired it with a Monster 1200R which I still have.
For a multitude of reasons, I traded the Pani for a Multistrada 1260 Pikes Peak. Love the grunt of that big V-twin starting a 3, 000 RPM.
On that note, I still believe having a V4 in the Multistrada was a mistake. Moreover, the MTS V4 has gotten big, tall and heavy.
The V4 engine is best served in a Panigale and the Streefighter But that's just me. What do I know?

It will be mine, Oh yes, it will be mine…. 😂 Only in my Dreams. Excellent review.

Very interesting & well put together. Some metric figures would be good.

Beautiful bike, wonderful performance. If I’m on rough roads 500 miles from the nearest dealer, I’ll take an AT or V-STROM all day long.

Nice review Rennie but when all is said and done, theTFT on the GSX-S1000GX+ is nicer.

makes no sense vs bmw m1000xr, when mxr costs much less, weighs less, has more power, looks better, handles better, is faster. only committted ducatistis buy this vs mxr. and... who wants that noisy dry clutch, especially for "touring"?

If you like the extra acceleration of the front sprocket going down a tooth, why not ride in race or sport mode? Later you said you stayed in touring all the time.

The dry clutch adds nothing I need besides considerable expense and nuisance. I had my dry clutch moment with my first Monster 916. Delete and give us the savings. The optional heated seat fixes the hard seat. But my Pikes Peak, de-restricted by aftermarket, is the ticket for actual pillion touring.

So I should stay happy with my pikes peak? Perfect!

Ok, maybe I negotiate a few thousand dollars off due to the noisy clutch🙂
