Cadillac's smallest EV is here, and it packs a ton of value into a modern and properly luxurious package. The only two glaring demerits may or may not be deal breakers for you, however. #KBB

My neighbor just bought one. Seems like money well spent. It's really nice. You can tell that GM put their most talented people on this.

Looks so good, it's actually the one Cadillac I'm excited about, really hope we get it here in Europe 🤟

I have the car and I love it. Not having CarPlay is no problem, since you can have your own profile in the car and download applications directly in the car, so you get everything in the car, but the best part is that if for whatever reason your phone dies, you still keep all the applications and functionality in the car, so it is actually a plus!

Whew! The _OPTIQ_ is beautiful. Depending on the drive, I expect them to sell well. I think their UX with Google is great and works fine with iPhones. It's quite intuitive to use on the daily. The design fits right in with the rest of their excllent fully electric lineup.

Cadillac (the American luxury icon) is back. The Optiq and the Lyriq can easily compete with Tesla and the Chinese brands.

We waste too much time thinking about DC charging speeds. An EV is at its best charging at home, and the Optiq does this well. Optional 19.2 kW AC is staggering. I remember when this was a credible DC speed.

Anyway, 150 kW is fine for travel. If you've used enough of the battery to optimise charging, you're going to need a rest, anyway.

And here's another vote for, "No CarPlay is a mistake."

I'll be picking up a used one of these once my Chevy Equinox EV lease is up.☺

No CarPlay is a deal breaker for me! This is ridiculous. Sorry GM you were close. It looks great.

I traded in my 2022 Polestar 2 and got the Optiq! Love it!

@1:52 Haha do you really compare this with the bmw i3??? A relatively big 2025 suv with a small city car from 12 years ago?

Let's remember the reason for ACP/AA and that was the bad user interface of factory systems. As long as I have the apps I need and good UI then I won't miss it. Waze, Spotify, Google maps, etc. are built in.

I’m Interested in it as my first EV. My 2014 mazda doesn’t have android auto so that isn’t a deal breaker for me.

Considering how much evs already cost, this car seems like a pretty good deal.

I'm so glad that you address the Apple Car Play issue. Most reviewers just gloss over that. It's a massive step backwards for GM. Like you said, as an iPhone user, I'm stuck with Bluetooth. This is the main reason I bought the Cadillac Lyriq; it still has Car Play.

What’s a good lease price for a Sport 2, $0 down, and with the EV tax credit?

If they just put CarPlay back in this would sell like crazy. We’re all looking for Model Y Replacements. C’mon GM

Cadillac did a great job with this. This isn’t much more than the Equinox making it a good deal. With discounts it’s under $50k for top trim. Just wish the roof opened.
