This series really needs to be seen from the very beginning. For me it is one beautiful series, all of it. Hard to watch in places, but at the every end I realised its the story of an elderly man getting ready to go to jail. Thinking back to what he and all 4 brothers lost. Its very sad at the end. In the end all his thoughts are of when she was a young girl, wearing the same clothes as when he slapped her and she left him to become a doctor for years. There is alot.of story in-between, all very gentle. And she does leave and divorces him, but he writes alot to her, as he sees her when they are young in Mongolia. I think it's called.... MY BEAUTIFUL LIFE IN BEIJING.... I LOVED ALL OF IT. Enjoy
