Today I show you how I manage to live out of my tiny car day after day while I spend my time crossing off items on my bucket list. This lifestyle change has allowed me to travel the country affordably at this stage in my life. While it is not always ideal, I do have all the essentials I need to survive day to day and am grateful that my car is still chugging along! I try to stay in the mindset of gratitude for what I do have rather than focusing on what I do not have. If you have any tips for tiny home living, please share. I am new to this lifestyle and could use the help. Thank you all for watching!

SCAMMER ALERT! Please be aware there are scammers impersonating my profile asking for money in the comment section! This is NOT me, so please be careful, hold on to your money, and be sure to report the scammers! Thank you!

I did this for a while (about a year) to save money. moved into my midsized truck. Used a gym membership to take showers. It was a little easier for me, being a guy. I'm concerned about your safety. Had fended off a couple of "animals" trying to break into my truck a few times with a ah'em.. protective device. Thank God I never had to use it! Could tell a few more stories. Once transitioning back to a normal living situation, had a hard time sleeping at first. was so used to the truck. The other thing to deal with was laundry and keeping my living situation private from my employer. was afraid it would not look good professionally. I know this post is a little older now. Hope you are doing well and staying safe. God bless you ❤

Wow. I was homeless in high school and into my 20s. I often slept underneath the weatherproof tarps that covered the track and field equipment. Otherwise, I would be sleeping in my 2001 ford escort. Im 6’3’’ so i ended up sleeping vertically as well. I remember my classmates making fun of me as they started pulling into school in the morning and seeing my living situation. I felt like living in your car put you into this forsaken corner of society.
Now, just discovering this video, I see someone who is living out of their vehicle is content creating and making an art out of living our of their car. If YouTube was what it was now back in 2005, I would definitely have made it through those years with more smiles and guidance.

Thank you for this video.

I clicked on the video confused at how this could be possible, but your infectious positivity and sincerity quickly made it clear. Best of luck on all your future travels, and thanks so much for sharing!

Jesus. Some people are so heartless. Idk this girl's story or situation but she is making the most of what she can in the situation she is in. There's a lot of people who are a few paycheques away from being homeless.

I am thankful for my room and the house I am able to live in with my family. I wish everyone who camps in a car or a tent the very best outcome and no tears of sadness.

It is so clear that you have put a ton of thought into your set-up while doing it very economically. You have all your bases covered! When I retired I built out an empty cargo van with the help of my good friend. I have to say that I enjoyed the process of thinking about and implementing solutions almost as much as I do camping in the van. What amazes me is how little I need when I'm on the road. Yet, I'm perfectly comfortable. Happy travels.

I am 61 and when I was a teen in the 1970s I hitchhiked all over America and even into Canada a bit. I simply ADORE the freedom of the open road and often revisit my wonderful memories I made so long ago. It's so good to see you making your own awesome memories, but you've done it far better than I and with grande style! May you always be protected from anything with a negative bent to it and may the glorious freedom of the open road satisfy you in ALL your parts ( 🙃 ) again and again and again.

I am an old woman now, but you remind me so much of myself when I was your age. I seen so many things and places. Some great experiences and some not so much but I wouldn't trade that time I had for anything. There is something so fulfilling to find yourself and develop your own thoughts and ways of life. I hope you have a great adventures on your journey and I am subbing to follow along with you. Things are much different today than when I was young, so please remember to be safe at all times. This is so interesting. You should consider getting your spices in pouches, they store flat and get smaller as they're used up, and usually come with an air tight zip top. I'm sure you could keep a much larger variety this way since you miss them while cooking!

I am familiar with minimalistic travel but you brought it next level. Simply amazing.

I was forced to live in a 2002 Yukon XL Denali, I called it my "Hotel on wheels" since it was so big. Jersey winters were brutal at that time *unlike now*. Spending $100 everytime to fill the tank, just so I can have heat on those really cold nights suck, but I made it thru that time. I also put myself thru Technical school the entire time I was homeless.
I say all this to say, if your choices are, sleeping on the streets, or sleeping in a car, make sure your car is big enough for you and all your gear.

I lived in a 2015 Corolla for a couple years and currently live in a 2014 Corolla. It's always insightful to see how others manage their needs differently.

Hi Angie, It’s nice to meet you. Just wanted to say my husband and I loved our 2009 Toyota Corolla. We drove it for 13 years until it no longer passed inspection because of rust due to our harsh Vermont winters. That was a shame because it still ran wonderfully. We got 360, 000miles out of our car.You made an excellent vehicle choice for your adventures 😊. Now we drive a used 2013 Toyota Sienna. We have recently built a bed in the back and look forward to a few adventures of our own. I’m 71 and my husband just retired. Best wishes to you on your journey ❤

Living in a car takes resilience and resourcefulness to a whole new level. It's a stark reminder of the challenges some face, and the strength it takes to navigate them. Let's support initiatives that provide safe and stable housing for everyone. 💪🏽🚗 #Resilience #HousingForAll

This is a great video. You're doing what a lot of people in their 20s want to do but don't because we're scared of the unknown. Have fun and safe travels!

I have a 2017 Corolla and just did my first weekend car camping, next to the ocean, in a campground. I knew I would enjoy it, but nothing prepared me for the absolute bliss and serenity I felt that weekend. I am so looking forward to doing it again. Thank you for posting this video. It helps so much to watch videos like yours ❤

This is a very good setup! Very similar to mine! I lived out of my tiny Saturn sedan quite comfortably for 4 years at age 60+. I bought 4 sets of black standard window shades/coverings from Walmart for all the windows at night. They pop open and close up quite small. I had black throw blankets and dark colored sheets so everything would look dark and be covered when someone looked into the car during the day. I did add a roof top rack and a rooftop box for more storage, a kayak and my bicycle. It really was my mini-RV!!! Good job sharing budget and compact vehicle living!

Great setup! One idea to enable you to possibly keep more spices is transfer them to tiny storage bags that you label and it'll give you more room for more spices.

I found your channel tonight. Congratulations on living the life you want! It's a gift from God that should never be taken for granted.

When I was a kid, I was raised by my grandma, and me & her went all over Tennessee, Indiana, Kentucky, and Ohio, going to various antique malls. I've often said when I retire, if God forbid my wife passes away before me, I'd like to travel again, but next time, not only going to antique malls and flea markets, but also hiking in the wild. Just today, my family and I got back from the Smoky Mountains in east Tennessee, and while I'm not a fan of cold weather, it was a good trip. While there, we got to see a wild black bear. If you've never been to the Smoky Mountains, you should go. It has a lot of beautiful scenery with lots of trails, creeks, streams, and small waterfalls. Just make sure your brakes are in good shape! Btw, I just subscribed to your channel.

Good for you Angie. Get out of the rut of 'normal' living. It can't be easy but there are many plusses to living like you do. Disregard the negative responses, it's taken a lot for you to live the way you do and it's your choice. I'm proud of you!
