Frankfort, Kentucky: Your New Favorite Town

I grew up in Frankfort, Kentucky and while the town was pleasant, there wasn't a lot that made it special. Now, however, Kentucky's capital city has grown to be a very appealing place. There is everything from bourbon, to nature, to history. It just might be a place that you want to visit now!

My videos over the past year have mostly concentrated on international destinations, as solo travel has taken me to four continents over the past twelve months. For this episode though, I am Old, Alone and Back at Home.

Having retired in 2023, I now travel full-time, seeing places all around the world. My idea for YouTube is to make the videos more about the places and people along the way, than about me. I hope that the experience for you is both entertaining and educational. Perhaps you will come away from my channel with ideas about places you would like to visit or be inspired to forge your own way.

I travel slowly, spending four or five weeks in each destination. Hopefully, that will allow me to go beyond the surface to find the essence of each location. By the end of 2024, I will have visited 14 countries and five of the seven continents. Come along for the journey!

What a delightful surprise video! You made Frankfort look very desirable and fun. Like you, we were distressed at the graffiti on the historic covered bridge. All the food looked incredible. If we ever get to that part of the country we'll visit Frankfort for sure.
