💻👉 What is Software? How Many types of software?
Software is a set of instructions, data or programs used to operate computers and execute specific tasks.
Computer Software are divide into Two Types:-
(i) Operating System Software
(ii) Application Software

(i) Operating system software
Since the Computer can Not understand your language, intermediate software is required to act as a translator between you & your computer. This is called Operating System.
The Operating System is software program that acts as an interface between the users and the computer.
Computer System Software are two types –
1. Single User Operating System
2. Multi User Operating System

1. Single User Operating System
In Single User Operating System one user can access one machine at a time.
Example: MS Dos

2. Multi User Operating System
In Multi User Operating System more than one user can access machines via one operating system.
Example: Unix Software, Windows 7, 8, 10, 11 etc..

(ii) Application software
Application Software Turns your computer into work tool. It includes programs such as word processors, spreadsheet, database, printing.
Example:- MS (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), Tally, Photoshop, Corel Draw, Page Maker, etc…
