Detour (1945) 4K | Full Movie | Film Noir

This classic film noir packs a lot of heat, danger and thrills in a tight 68 min package. This was a B-Picture through and through. It was made for cheap on Hollywood's Poverty Row. But TCM, The Criterion Collection and Library of Congress' National Film Registry all consider it essential viewing. Director, Edgar G. Ulmer, came from the German UFA film studio and brought that sense of German expressionism to this post-war American noir. It is absolutely quintessential film noir.

Thanks for putting this great version of Detour up. Ann Savage couldn't of had a more appropriate last name. The ultimate femme fatale imo. Always wondered why never became a huge star.
