I've always loved The Lord of the Rings, so made this animated film trailer of my interpretation of The Fellowship of the Ring.
Here's Frodo, Gandalf, Aragorn, Boromir, Legolas, Gimli, Sam, Merry and Pippin in the first part of the epic story that will change all their lives.
Tolkien's work is so great, it's daunting to adapt!

This is an unofficial fan film, characters and setting rights are owned by Middle-Earth Enterprises.
Based on characters and story created by JRR Tolkien.

Song: Nick Froud - Life Is Inevitable (No Copyright Music)
Music provided by Tunetank.

Love that Boromir's death was more faithful to the books, with him withstanding dozens of arrows before finally falling

I love the depiction of Boromir here. In addition to giving him the immense physicality and body language of a bulwark/tank to contrast him with the more slender Aragorn, it seems like he is always closest to the danger. He's the first character we see next to the one ring. He's one of the first three up the stairs when they enter Moria. He's the last one out as they flee the goblins/orcs, covering the retreat of the rest of the fellowship. He's the first to turn around and directly face the Balrog, standing fearless out in front of the beast, ready to attempt to throw down until Gandalf moves in front of him. And of course, most poignantly, he puts himself directly in harm's way one last time to protect the hobbits. Brilliant show of his direct and hammer-like approach to everything (with all that comes with it, good and bad.).

This is one of the best things I've ever seen. Boromir's end really did justice to that scene. Absolutely amazing.

Yooo Boromir being absolutely jacked and riddled with arrows before finally collapsing was tuff

This is already better than the entire rings of power series will ever be.

The way you depicted the Balrog scene was beyond incredible, Gandalf not just holding the beast back but holding back its darkness as well. Awesome dude.

The shadows on the Balrog and Boromir's fall was absolutely magnificent...well done.

There's only a single word for this creation. Passion.

There was pure, hard passion in every single second of that animation.

I can't believe we've gotten to see so much happen in just 2 minutes. Absolutely brilliant. I'm looking forward to seeing The Two Towers Animated! Keep it up man.

I love this interpretation of the Balrog. The use of its shadow as "wings" is a fantastic compromise while being true to Tolkien's exact words.

Wow! The scene of Boromir’s death gave me chills. Always loved that character and how representative he was of the human condition.

Tolkien "For Boromir was strong and mighty, taking three arrows to the chest....and 16 to the back, 5 to the side and a couple near the Ars."

I love how you integrate certain visuals from the films while giving it a feel of a reader imagining it pre-Peter Jackson. Moria sometimes feeling like a narrow, labyrinthine dungeon is how I interpreted it as a kid. I love the films' interpretation of it as a vast, open cave with winding paths through it, but this captures my childhood vision of it.

That was absolutely mesmerizing! What long did this take you to make...and will you please make more? :) Really well done!

I really love how the darkness emanates from the balrog, really accurate to the books!

i like how this guy perfectly summarized a nearly 430 page book and nearly 4 hour (extended cut) film in a 2:30 minute video, props!

In these harsh times, we need more good Tolkien's adaptations like this!

I'm more interested in a series made out of this than the one Amazon is going to bring.

I like how everything in the animation was still recognizable as what we've seen in the movies, and yet it had it's own style that you could still have imagined it looking like in the books. Over all, well done. 5/5
