I am excited to share this interview about near-death experience aftereffects with Debra Diamond, Ph.D. Debra began her quest to better understand the special significance of NDEs about five or six years ago. Just a few years earlier, in 2008, she had an extraordinary, life-altering experience of her own, wherein she was instantly transformed and catapulted from a secure and well-established position as a prominent and successful Wall Street money manager, media commentator for CNBC, and business school professor at Johns Hopkins University, to forsaking all that to pursue a life of spirituality and purpose, almost overnight. Several years into her surprising new career she was asked to do a reading for a man who had had an NDE. She didn’t think twice about it, but the reading itself changed her outlook entirely.

Debra Diamond is a gifted psychic/medium, healer, and an author. She lectures, presents workshops and works with clients individually to assist in healing and expansion to enable them to live richer, fuller and more abundant lives. She is a graduate of the Holistic Studies Institute of New York, has completed mediumship training at the Arthur Findlay College in the UK and trained at the Carl Jung Institute in Analytical Psychology in Zurich, Switzerland. Debra has an MBA in Finance from The George Washington University and a Ph.D. from the Esoteric Interfaith Theological Seminary. She has studied in Bali, trained in shamanism and worked with spiritual teachers in Colorado, New Mexico and Cassadaga. In her previous life on Wall Street, Debra often appeared on CNBC, hosted her own radio show on CNN, was profiled in Forbes, The Wall Street Journal, The San Francisco Chronicle, The Baltimore Sun and The Washington Post.

The mission that people are searching for when they come back is simply this: love with your whole mind and being right where you are. So many people think it's to start an organization, write a book, be this huge presence and famous in the world or influential in the world. And it very well may be of that scale, but the truth is that the scale of it doesn't matter because love is all there is. There is no big or small within It. It is everything, literally, including you and me. Be fully loving where you are at every moment in every measure to whomever and whatever is in front of you. That IS to heal. That is the mission. People want it to be something special. That is special! It's so obvious. It's so obvious that people can't see it. They have to let go of what it is within them that can't see it because that's what's keeping them from knowing. The NDE is a beautiful gift, but it isn't special, it's merely a glimpse of Reality. That same Reality is...here...right...now THROUGH US and IN US.

My mother has Alzheimers disease now. For most of her life, she was highly critical and mean to me her daughter. As the Alzheimer's progressed, she changed and became nice, loving mom. The mom I always wanted, but funny thing started happening with every watch I bought her, and every new battery for the watch. They would only last a few days on her wrist before dying. I'm wondering if her electricity didn't change somehow when her heart opened and she became more loving.

My father passed away recently. Somewhere, I believe all these testimonials. But, there is always this part of me which shouts what if all this is made up. Doesn't exist. It's becoming difficult to take this leap. How do you know these people are speaking truth
