Big thanks to my buddy Doug. Always sending in the coolest watches. 7c46 quartz and sapphire crystal all combined with titanium case and ceramic shroud. Is this the best Tuna ever?

I've had my Tuna 033 for 5.5 years and the original battery is still going strong. Thanks for the great review.

Notably, no Seiko haters here today... this watch shows why Seiko is so highly regarded. I love them all.

I was torn between this and a Jacob&co astronomia but this sold me. Def getting this one now. Thanks.

Rod, look at the numbers. The one with the dot on it is the date the battery was installed. Seiko recommends getting it changed every 5 years so you can date your battery by the marks on the back, they correlate to years.

Those numbers on the back are years. You make a mark to show when the battery is changed. Older ones have them too. They will have it in the 80s or 90s.

Watching from Melbourne Australia where the State Government yesterday introduced a total lockdown, with only one person in each household allowed out for one hour to shop for food at shops within a 3 mile radius. So at 9am on Thursday your very interesting presentation is easy to view, without any distractions.

It's nice that you have friends who are pleased to share their experiences with viewers on the other side, and at the bottom of the World. Thanks Phil.

The smaller Ninja Tuna is the real deal. Looks less bloated and fits better on the wrist. Not to mention, looks uber cool and comes at a better price than this. Stunning watch, the Ninja.

One of the best looking Seiko divers for sure. A true classic! I do wish Seiko would put that 7c quartz movement in the SKX case like they used to. Maybe a 7c43 quartz version of the Turtle? 👍

Awesome real world working divers watch . In 2014 JAMSTEC took it ( along with the Automatic Emperor ) to 3284m before the pressure on the crystal stopped the second hand . The watch did not flood or implode . Thanks Rob for occasionally circling back round to Seiko ;)

Love this piece mate, Great to see a review on it.
Tuna’s are addictive, very addictive, i’m on my second this year already and considering a third.
This Darth tuna, is amazing but I might have to check out the ninja tuna, same size as my SBBN031 I believe.
Thanks for another great video Rob

Great Review! Love this watch! I have a Sinn U1 which has 1000m too, but I've always wanted one of these.

Really late to the party but to answer your question about what straps you can use. You can pretty much use any 22mm strap that will ether fit the fat spring bars or thinner spring bars with 1.1mm tips (no curved bars needed). Any 22mm Seiko dive strap will work. All those 22mm Uncle Seiko straps will work. Nato straps, nylon 2 piece straps, Erika's Original straps. They all work. Despite the fact that the 1000m quartz divers have a lug-less design, there is enough room for all sorts of straps. This is the genius of this watch. It is big but wears good on most wrists and it takes all sorts of straps.

Just picked one up on a rebuy for under $1200 in mint condition! Hard to find at that price. Had the sbbn025 5 years ago. Just sold my 047, excited for this one again. Nice review

The bezel insert is an acrylic ring with cutouts from the bottom for the lettering and the dots. Altough, for apparent toughness the 300m version seems to have an edge here.
