SMILE - Student Mediated Initiative for Learning to Excel

Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, in association with Wagh Bakri Tea Group and Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, has set up a supplementary education/resource centre called SMILE for the benefit of underprivileged students in the community.

MAD presents the Club Introduction Video of SMILE & stands along with their mission of spreading smiles across faces of many kids.

i really appreciate the efforts of students of IIM-A and the lady who took this initiative for this wonderful smile education concept or an idea (Jayshree firke).It is really important to understand that most of the students, specially who are living in rural areas or non metro cities are not able to divert or grow their selves due to the lack of awareness (the flaw or loopholes mentioned in by the EX IIM A alums) and the lack of facilities provided by the govt. schools. it really makes me feel good that the future managers are trying to bring change, not only in the corporate sector but also giving their extra efforts to shape these little bright buds to expose them to this environment and helping them to grow and support them to become a beautiful flower. I feel that it should not be limited to that particular stage.It really should grow at a big margin to see a macro change in the Indian education system in future .This responsibility is not be only limited to IIM A wizards but also ours to make sure that every student in this country should have a right to have a better education.I really thank you IIM A a and Jayshree for moving this initiative to this level. :) .
