KC-46A can detect, avoid, defeat & survive threats using multiple layers of protection. 212,000 lbs of fuel capacity enables the full spectrum of refueling missions. The boom allows the KC-46A tanker to transfer up to 1,200 gallons of fuel per minute. KC-46A hose & drogue systems can refuel smaller planes with up to 400 gallons/minute.
