The transition from the red light on the mount to the core of the whirlpool was so good!

I started astrophotography about 3 months ago and i can only say i learned so much from your channel, from setting up a telescope, choosing the right camera, photo proccesing exc. Ofcourse, i still have so much to learn but your channel made me progress much faster, and i kinda started this hobby because of your channel. It was the trigger i needed and i definetely dont regret it. I'd say this channel is best on youtube, for beginners and pro's also. Clear skies !

Very inspirational, Travor.
What a beautiful hobby! I have a 14" Dobsonian and 12" SCT....I'm more of a visual observer ...but slowly getting into astrophotography...
Clear skies everybody!

I love my 200mm reflector! From DSLR to dedicated astro cameras, it has always performed, as long as it is colimated and cooled before imaging.

Galaxy Season can be a bit frustrating for owners of small refractor telescopes. On a clear night, it's often challenging to find suitable targets because everything appears either too small or too dim. I can understand why you opted for the big pipe.

It is totally new to me, that you could really take such images without an observatory. Im blown away to say the least. Great content! As an astronomy geek, you have me almost double dared to get into this hobby myself! Thx for sharing your experiences!

Have an 8" Orion Astrograph reflector. That scope has given me so many great images! Your vids are an inspiration! Keep it up!

It’s nice just to see your wife supports you. My wife just peep outside and ask me……when are you planning to come inside StarBoy? 🤦🏻‍♂️

Wow Taylor, amazing, have watched so many of yours and others great videos, but this one with the first 120s exposure of the M51 is mind blowing! Size and aperture both matters! This is like an earth based Hubble 😂

Absolutely beautiful! I've been trying to capture M81 the past few nights myself, and even though my gear can't get me anywhere close to that detail, it's just incredibly enjoyable to sit outside watching the stars and seeing a galaxy appear on the screen that you otherwise can't see. Super excited though, I've finally got a 533MC-P coming my way! : D
Clear skies!

That was a nice final image of the Whirlpool Galaxy. I'm glad you chose it. That's probably my favorite galaxy. It is so photogenic. Its face on view gives us a fantastic view of its spiral arms (and the companion galaxy adds to the view). A few other random remarks. That's a very nice scope (and an impressive setup for astrophotography). And that was a beautiful primary mirror (probably the only good thing about it not yet being installed is that we got a good view of it). I was impressed with the Stellarium software. When you zoomed in to the Whirlpool Galaxy it actually showed more detail. Finally when you referred to the nearby birds I was pleasantly surprised (almost shocked) you said you hoped you weren't disturbing them. Many people today would complain about being disturbed BY them. Such people think only of themselves and don't care if they are bothering others (people or wildlife). I recall a watching a YouTube video some time ago in which a commenter complained about a particular road being "deer infested". I replied the deer would probably consider the area human infested. After all we invaded their home, cut down trees and installed a road. That is why the road is "deer infested"; we built it in their habitat. I'm glad there are people like you who respect wildlife and are concerned with human encroachment into their home. Edit: After completing my comment I recalled an example of someone who thought so much of himself that he had an animal killed because it "bothered" him. I read a story of a high ranking clergyman who lived a few hundred years ago who was annoyed by birds because they woke him up in the morning. So he had the "offending" birds killed just so he could get his beauty sleep.

I appreciate your channel and videos so much, I’ve been looking to get an 8 inch Celestron Dob as my first. Your knowledge has helped me learn and even grew my interest in astronomy!

Trevor this is phenomenal! I recently purchased the 294mc pro and it works wonders with my 10” f/4. Similar image scale too. Your videos over the years have helped me immensely in my astrophotography journey. It was great meeting you at NEAF this year. Keep up the great work!
