5 * The Sacred Hoop * Backyard Astronomy with Gemini Brett * 3.30.21 8:26pm

This video was filmed on March 30th, 2021 starting at 8:26pm from my backyard in El Sobrante, California (bay area just north of Oakland and Berkeley). Grainy one here, but it will help you learn to see the Winter Hexagon asterism, which the Lakota mysteries call the Sacred Hoop.

It's a good idea to watch the videos in sequence as I build on topics discussed in previous videos. There will be some repetition, but redundancy is built into every sound space mission ;)

The videos will be entirely raw. No edits, no production, no music, no logos... just a student of the stars with a camera, a pointer finger, and an occasional prop like a hula hoop to help observers see curves in the sky like the Ecliptic or the Celestial Equator.
