Now that it’s (FINALLY) cooler in the mornings I decided to see what the 1.5 is really about 🤷🏻‍♂️
🐢_________💨 pretty quick for a suv 7.57

I just took a 900mi road trip in this thing

THIS. THING. IS. FAST!

I was walking away from Ford and Ram V8s on the interstate the entire trip.
The way this thing accelerates is so smooth and so INSTANT!
50 - 80mph can happen in the blink of an eye.

The nimble handling and buttery smooth shifting transmission, makes everything feel polished and slick.

It does rock a bit at higher speeds when switching lanes, and it doesn't always feel truly capable of maneuvering at speeds over 70mph.

This vehicle has lots of bells and whistles, BT, USB, SiriusXM, plenty of flat space and center console storage, places to sit phones sideways and watch, while eating comfortably in your seat. Bright interior lighting with simple controls.

Road sensors, shoulder sensors, back up camera, blind spot sensors (the car's side mirrors blink when another car is on your left or right)

Different driving modes

Sport mode is clearly different with peddle responses and shift times being noticeably quicker.
When you are in Sport more, you feel it.

Standard mode was quick and nimble but slower throttle response and less aggressive shifting points than sport mode.

Eco mode was calm and very tamed, almost akin to a "winter mode or snow mode" for older vehicles.

I could never fully turn off the auto shutdown at red lights feature. It's frustrating because you have to very precisely press down on the brake pedal so you actually stop but not so hard that the car turns itself off.

Another odd thing is, in order to turn off the smaller daytime running headlights. You must turn off the car completely. Open/close the door so all electronics turns off.
Turn on the parking break. Then start the SUV as normal.

Overall I see it as such:

Handling : 3.9/5
Speed: 4.5/5
Torque: 4.5/5
Features : 4/5
Media : 4.5/5

Road Noise : Minimal

Would certainly consider purchasing

I gotta say I really think Nissan finally got the cvt tuned right in these new rouges, I still wish they'd equip it with the 9-speed like some other new Nissan products.

I love my 22 Rogue, I'd happily buy it again. Way more fun than it has a right to be.

This drivetrain is so good, they should really put this in their lineup of sedans.

Not that fastest but as to be expected it’s a family gas saving hauler. About to pick up a 2023 rouge platinum for a family car because my 2020 F250 platinum drinks diesel like there’s no tomorrow. Rode in my friends rouge and me and the wife absolutely loved it and decided we need one in our life

These things are quick frfr. That little 1.5 puts in work lol. And then $50 for the same 440+ miles a tank I had in my big SUV is nice. But I do miss the room in my big SUV. This thing is so cramped.

I like how these newer cvt trans car has better ratio spreads than before so it doesn't take so long to get to redline. I wonder how the old altima 3.5 or the new pathdinder would feel with these gear ratios. The old 1 didn't hit redline until 50mph lol. Would wake it up off the line.

I have the 2023 rogue and would love to see what it can do with the JB4 performance tuner!

They gotta make a Rogue Nismo with the 2.0T from the Altima

I Would Love To See This Motor As The Base Altimas Engine Or Even In The Sentra As A SE-R Model.

Keep the rpm under 5 and it'll do much better. So, instead of flooring it, you have to seek the sweet spot.

Wow, the shifts are crisp and clean just like an AT

Finally, a CVT that's similar to a DCT. Not as refined but I think it's pretty cool.

Im all for the 3 cylinders. Same concept as a Turbo 4 but with a much more premium V6 esque sound from the engine.

Would be slightly faster without the fake shifts. If the car is not in sport mode, does it still do the fake shifts?

It looks like Nissan's VC-Turbo engines could be a potential source of tech problems, similar to their CVTs.

i like the new 9 speed auto in this. The new 1.5 tsi is also good. sounds like a v6 even though it has 4 cylinders

I want to try the new kind of Nissan CVT so bad, I drive a 2013 Rogue and it has the rubber band like CVT instead of the one like this.
