Hey Larlees, todays video is different. This is the story of why Tyler and I adopted my niece Eryn. This video was hard to film, and to be candid I filmed it 3 times and every time watching it back it didn't feel right. It was me sitting there telling the story of my sister, Eryn, and Tyler. I felt like these are not all my stories to tell. They should be here telling their own stories, so thats just what I did. I opened my platform and asked them the hard questions. I'm so grateful they were willing to be so open and share some of their most vulnerable moments with thousands of people. People aren’t perfect and never have been. Addiction is a real thing that affects so many people and families. My sister is working on getting better everyday. We are all so proud of her and her journey i'm so happy she is here to share her story. Thank you all so much for watching. We love you guys.

ps:
Lets keep the conversation going. Teen Pregnancy, Addiction, low income SO many people have struggles and they shouldn’t feel alone.
What were/are some struggles you have faced? How did you overcome them?

The way that Eryn uses humor to mask the troubling past hits me on a personal level..

I love this. My mom and dad are both addicts. I grew up in the system. I ended up into addiction myself. But November 3rd 2019 I celebrated my 1 year clean and sober.

“Your future is not the situation you are in right now.” That spoke volumes to me.

How unselfish of Tyler and Laura to raise her niece. Special people right there. Addiction affects everyone.

a child's grades doesn't determine their intelligence, I love that you said that 10000% true

Very vulnerable for you to share so much of your private life with all of us, but I think you did it in an informative and respectful way. From someone who has lots of family issues and struggles as well, it's nice to know we're not alone. Thank you for the sacrifices that you've made for Eryn!

Say what you want about Laura's past mistakes, but she's definitely a better person now than she used to be. She's doing something right now because look at how happy that young girl is ❤️

I'm clean 7 months off meth. I've been addicted to drugs since I was 13 and I'm 26 now. I take Suboxone now and it has saved me so much. Thanks for sharing your families story.

My son had to go to Foster care. It was horrible. I worked my ass to get him back. Thank God I woke up! I am so grateful to be alive and have my baby boy

As a social worker, I started crying the second your sister told you she was grateful. That’s such a blessing.
