CAN I BEAT A POKÉMON ULTRA SUN HARDCORE NUZLOCKE WITH ONLY GHOST TYPES!? (Pokémon Challenge)

It's time to take on a game we've NEVER played on the channel... how much of a challenge will it be!?

Ghost Type Pokémon are among the coolest and most mysterious out there... but they're incredibly hard to find. Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon do have a good lineup of encounters though, allowing for wicked teams. Can Ghosts beat Pokémon USUM's hardest challenge?!

We've done some hard Pokemon challenges in the past, but usually they were a solo Pokemon challenge run. What if we still did a really difficult challenge... but with a full team using hardcore nuzlocke rules, and with only one type? Today we find out: can I beat a Pokemon Ultra Sun Hardcore Nuzlocke with only Ghost types? No items and no overleveling!

Monotype Hardcore Nuzlocke Ruleset:
(1) If a Pokémon faints, it must be permanently boxed or released.
(2) Only the first type-specific Pokémon encountered in each Route/Area can be caught.
(3) No Legendaries/Mythicals, duplicates, or same-evolution-line Pokémon can be caught or used. If a duplicate is encountered, the next unique type-specific Pokémon encounter can be caught.
(4) Additional Pokémon may be caught for the purpose of HM use, but these may not be used in battle at any time during the run.
(5) No Items can be used in battle (Held Items are allowed).
(6) Party Pokémon levels are limited to the highest level Pokémon of the next Gym Leader or Elite 4 Member. So long as your Pokémon are at or below the level cap when the Gym Leader/Elite 4 Member battle starts, they can level up mid-battle.
(7) "Set" Battle Mode must be used at all times.
(8) No connecting with other games for the purposes of importing Pokémon, Items, etc.

22:49 - The NPCs in Alola EV train more often than not. What taught me this first hand was my first fight with Plumeria in Moon. I went at her with a Crobat of a slightly higher level and her Golbat cleanly outsped me.

It's awesome how Litwick nearly beat every enemy or got the kill with the last hit. It's one of my absolute favorites it's so cute and its evolutions are so cool

I'm pretty sure Olivia's Lycanroc has speed EVs, which would explain why you didn't outspeed it with Trevenant even after the speed drop.

Other than the first encounter being a bit sus (hand picking the encounrer), trade evolving the Phantump (connecting to another game) and using a totem pokemon (not really against the rules but they're kinda op), this was a great classic Silph run.

The names weren't themed, you didnt use the non viable pokemon before they evolved, had some mad strats against the tougher opponents and you didn't need to hack the game for any encounters. More of this please my man

...like a fighting type run of XY, it's fun and difficult.

Dang just watched this after the poison firered run. Both came down to the very last pokemon and bad luck... heartbreaking, but mad props. Definitely one of the best pokemon youtubers out there. Keep up the good work
