For his level and background no he's not, he has no amateur background and he's doing basically what most upcoming boxers do. He's just really good at marketing knowing that boxing and mma are two completely different disciplines he has a better chance at beating old well-known mma guys than legit boxers who are also beginners. Case and point Tommy Fury fight, he lost a SD to him. Why fight someone who's 7-42-5 while building skills and only make like 10k vs fighting Diaz and making 1M+?

His 70 million followers been here since the beginning of Vine & Utube days. You & everyone else aren’t meant to understand. As a crash course to JP newbie’s, his Disney show was based on Utube which had just formed. He did Utube content with some of the stars in between filming of the show which was funnier than the show itself. He was fired from Disney when he made fun of a local Tv reporter doing a piece on the show & him when he climbed on the news truck & said “ look at those shoes”, making fun of the reporters dress shoes. His utube channel was getting more views than Disney by that that time anyway.
