In today's video I build the brand new Pocher Ducati Final Edition model. This is a crazy, detailed 1:4 scale model with incredible realism. If you want to build this model they are available on the pocher website here:

What a cool bike build. As an experienced partworks model builder I suggest using a little lube oil or petroleum jelly on the screws that go into metal. Also do the final screw tightening with a larger screwdriver for better torque. Conversely do not over tighten screws that go into plastic. Finally, when mounting the tires, soak them first in some very hot water.

I own an actual 959, 1299 and a V2. After watching this, I'm finding one of these kits even though it might hurt for a month or two. Absolute Ducati lunatic. This thing is insane.

Love it, 40 some odd years ago I discovered up pocher model oven Alfa Romeo 2300 8c at Kmart of all places for The bargain basement price of $18 which is a a lot less than retail.

I spent many hours building it lacing the wheels oh my God.

I can't say that I did it justice the paint work wasn't the best but I gifted it to my uncle Wes who owned Boyachek Cycles in Union City Pennsylvania. He was one of the first dealers in the US for not only Ducati, but BMW laverda, you name it.
I spent many Summers with him and got to uncreate one of the first Ducati 750 SS, silver and blue and I got a ride on the back too.

Nice job. Cool model.
1. Ducati produced 1299 Final Editions, I have # 146
2. The Final Edition came with a EURO 4 compliant Akro exhaust (which weighs a ton) Euro 4 means it emissions friendly in Europe. The Upgraded exhaust will set you back 6 grand.
3. The Final Edition didn't come with electronic front suspension to save on weight. The wires coming out of the triple clamps wasn't an option on the 2018 Final Edition.

Anyways, nice job.

Hi Bart,
your enthusiasm is infectious and the other Pocher Ducati buildings I found in the web are so gorgeous that I decide to get the Panigale Final Edition immediately. Fortunately I got one of the last and I am looking forward to build it! In a few month I think I will be happy like you are!
Best wishes from Germany south

Ive got a couple 1/6 scale Harleys. They are massive and 1:4 would be even better. Love the large scale stuff and how detailed it all can be at that size

Good job, Bart. Amazing model. Don't apply for a job at Nasa anytime soon.

you could always display it with the plastics off one side- maybe put a mirror behind it when displayed so one can see both sides. I'm ordering this bike today- I've built a half dozen 1:8 scale cars, some from Pocher and some from Agora, DeAgostini etc. If you haven't looked into the large scale car models- they're a blast as well.
Great job! I hope nobody bumps your shelf!

Mine should be here next week. Have you seen the German upgrade site? Just when you thought it couldn’t get any crazier. Oh boy

Poacher has had a long history. Back in the 60’s an American importer of model railroad sets, AHM decided to import Pocher models which at the time were selling for about $200. Unfortunately they didn’t sell very well in the US because of the high price. At one point they decided to cut their losses and sold their entire inventory to K Mart. I Mart put them on the shelves for $20 or so and they all got snapped up very quickly by savvy builders or collectors. In the 70’s I picked up a couple of them at flea markets for very good prices. Today those kits go for over $1000-2000. A lot of the car kits have never been re-released so they can get that kind of money.

That's an awesome job man, thought it would be cool if they had a clear fairing on one side so you could see all the hard work you put into that engine. 50 plus hours! You my friend are legend!

YOu simply cannot leave screws untightened. STOP and figure out what you need to do... This isn't a Revell Kit!

I would like to order one of these and I have never assembled a model like this beofre. I am huge into RC cars but this looks like a task of great precission and patience

Bart your motorcycle videos are some of the best on YouTube! Primo stuff! But finish the goddamn model correctly!!! This isn't a Hobby Lobby kit!

That seems like it was a really expensive model to do such slop job of assembling it. When you get tired, just step away for a little while instead of rushing it. How many extra parts were left when you finished, lol?
