Your continued sincere explanations are a joy and mystery like the Fine-structured constant.
Good on ya 🏄‍♀️

The fact that human physics is now at the point where it's starting to try verifying the universality of constants is mind-breaking

Again, this is why I love your channel. I learned so much and thank you 🙏

Hold on a minute, Anton! I have, indeed fallen through a chair, albeit not in the quantum sense. I was probably 137 times too heavy for the seat! The structure was too fine to offer support!

That said, thank you for this fascinating look at a relationship missing a formula!

After watching this video, I’m much more intrigued by deep space science. My interest has been hibernating since college and, you brought it back again!

I'm looking forward to the 136 videos coming next in this series.

This reminds me of the Feigenbaum constant found in bifurcation diagrams and in the Mandelbrot set.

In the book “ASCENSO, Civilization of the Humus” published on Amazon, a theory is proposed that unifies relativistic and quantum physics, supported by a mathematical and analytical calculation of the fine-structure constant (1/137) for the 3rd dimension and the other dimensions that make up the Universe. It includes parallel and mirror universes. It proposes a mathematical theory of how the multiverse should be structured and the action of dark matter and energy within it

Alot of people think C-137 in Rick and Morty is just a reference number to all of the alternate universes that could exist.

But its just a reference to The Fine Structure Constant.

The FsC has always struck me as an emergent property, a sort of balancing point between forces, which is to say that once we're able to measure the relevant forces, we'll find that the FsC emergent from the strengths of those forces, universally.

I always learn such amazing things here. I even understand most of it, because you explain it so well.

I'm not superstitious, but Anton Petrov seems like a wizard, or a magician, using reality to blow our minds.

*I have read in some paper that the change in fine structure constant can change the half life of the elements that are used in radioactive dating methods, thus altering the dates drastically. Can you please please make a video on it. If you are interested, I can send you the link of that research paper. Waiting for reply

If we measure a different Fine Structure Constant far away we will not know for sure if it varies in different parts of the universe. It could be that, or it could be that it changes with time. Still a fantastic result but it wont be easy to distinguish between the cases.

Crazy how electromagnetism has been humanity's key to understanding our reality infinitely better than we could have had we not discovered it.
