Here's how to translate messages on Google Messages.
Google Messages allow you to translate texts on the go. For instance, if your recipient doesn't understand English, you can convert the text while typing on the application.

You can translate incoming messages when you receive them on Google Messages. The app has an in-built translator so there's no need to install a third-party application on your device.

How To Translate Text Messages In Google Messages
Launch Google Messages
Find the message you'd like to translate
Long press on the message and tap on the copy icon at the top of the screen
Once copied, tap on the text field
When the keyboard pops up, tap on the four boxes on the left side of the keyboard as shown in the video
Tap on Translate
Choose the language you'd like the message to be translated to
Paste the text on the text field

Your message will be translated.

Converting inbound text should be automatic, not all those taps just to see what the other person is saying. Imagine converting 20 different replies and having to copy/paste each one into Google Translate. Very cumbersome and time consuming.

Great tip but you should let the viewers know what android keyboard you are using.
As this is a part of a Google keyboard settings/options and not a Google Messages specific feature.
So you canl literally use this translation feature on any text field.
