"Analysts say" what analysts? They must not be very good at their job since Cyprus was always willing to share the resources. Erdogan wants the Turkish Cypriots to have an equal say over the process, meaning to low key get an EU member state to recognise the TRNC. He even said that only Greek Cyprus joined the EU and that it's unfair and the TRNC should get EU funds too. Anyway, the EU sure is disappointing. Their solidarity is only meant for Germany and France if any European country agree to the "EU army" after this fiasco, they are stupid beyond belief.

Why do Greeks think they own the rights to Cyprus? What because they were there 2-3 thousand years ago ? Well let me tell you who else was there 2-3 thousand years ago Egyptian empire, Achaemenid empire, onesilus, Hellenic, salamis, eugoras, Macedonian empire, Roman Empire and a few more including Ottoman Empire which had the island from 1571 to 1878 which the Turks asked the British empire to look after it to stop Russia from attacking, that’s when ottoman and Britain were on friendly terms to put it, so Britain from 1878 was looking after it for the Turks, but obviously world war 1 broke out and the ottoman and Britain were know longer friends, and Britain said oh by the way the island is ours now, then in 1960 the British leave the island in control of Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots and then main land Greece overthrows Cyprus government and puts there own people, and Turks get pissed off and take half the island which was really under there control before anyway, the point is Cypriot Greeks got mainland Greece on there side and Turkish Cypriots got mainland turkey on there side, so it’s ok for Greece Israel and Egypt to negotiate amongst themselves and EU ok with that, but when Turkey drilling on its side there’s a big fuss, I don’t even know why turkey even bothers with EU or NATO, did you know that even USA have been saying for a while that nato is a waste of time and that there fed up with putting resources into it, now I’m telling you if Turkey decided to leave Nato, I guarantee USA will say where out to we were looking for an excuse, anyway so tell who has the right to Cyprus, if you say well the people that live on the island then that includes Turkish Cypriots, just like mainland Greece is there for Greek Cypriots, mainland Turkey there for Turkish Cypriots, and everyone going on about Turkey invaded Cyprus, Turkey had control of island for over 400 years until they made a stupid mistake asking Britain to look after it, obviously there’s more in-depth details to all this but I’ve tried to explain it quickly, if I’m wrong on something tell me .
