Carnival Mardi Gras: Carnival Cruises Newest Cruise Ship

Carnival Cruise Line has long been known for its fun and innovative cruise experiences, and the Carnival Mardi Gras is no exception. Launched in 2021, this state-of-the-art cruise ship has quickly become a favorite among travelers, offering a unique blend of luxury, entertainment, and culinary excellence. Originally, the largest cruise ship in the Carnival line, until it was surpassed by its sister ship the Carnival Celebration in 2022, this ship is the lead ship in the Excel class, a subset of the Excellence class. Coming in at over 181,000 gross tonnage and measuring at 1,130 ft, Mardi Gras has a maximum capacity of 6,500 passengers and 2000 crew members.

The ship comprises of 20 decks which are divided 6 newly introduced zones filled with endless entertainment, relaxation and adventure. One of the most notable features of the Carnival Mardi Gras is its distinctive hull design, featuring a vibrant and colorful depiction of the iconic Mardi Gras celebration.
