Mardi Gras is an Excellence-class cruise ship operated by Carnival Cruise Line. She is Carnival's lead vessel of the fleet's Excel-class, a subclass of the Excellence class, and was built by Finnish shipbuilder Meyer Turku in Turku, Finland. She also has often been incorrectly referred to as Carnival Mardi Gras, though Carnival has specified that her name does not include the "Carnival" prefix, a first since the Fantasy-class vessels originally omitted "Carnival" in their names upon their debuts. Mardi Gras has been subject to numerous delays in her construction, delivery, and debut amid the COVID-19 pandemic and its subsequent impact on tourism. First scheduled for a summer 2020 delivery and debut, she was delivered to Carnival on 18 December 2020. After her debut was postponed on numerous occasions, Mardi Gras began operating weekly sailings on 31 July 2021.

I had watched a bunch of YouTube videos and read information on the Carnival Mardi Gras, but this was by far, the most descriptive. My wife and I are traveling this time without buying the Cheers! package, to compare if it's really worth the price paid, or not. I think our challenge here, will be getting to ALL THE BARS on the Mardi Gras!!!! Excellent tour video.

Just got back - the panini sandwiches were 🔥. So good. The craft beer at parched pig is excellent, brewed right by the bar. Loved this ship!

I will be on this ship in July of this year. I love cruising with Carival my family n I cruise every other year. From 2010 only missed 2020 cruise but each cruise is worth the vacation. This will be the first repeated islands because we have already been to these islands but wanted to try this ship so hear we come. This is already going to be my granddaughters 2nd cruise n currently she is 9 months so by the time we go she will be 1 years old. What an experience !

Nice tour, my understanding is Chibang and Cucina that first dinner meal is free but if you go for a second time it is 8.00 per person

None of this says, New Orleans or Mardi Gras. Forget tacos shouldn’t there be gumbo, crawfish and beignets etc. ?
