I have had my backbeat for a few months and I love it.

Regarding stereo in ear, I actually run my bass into my Helix and run a stereo send from Aviom to the red input on the backbeat. I run my in ears to the phone output on the backbeat.

The red input is stereo and will pass stereo to the phone output. I get a true stereo image and I get to feel kick, toms, and other instruments.

Yes to all! I didn't know the IEM in/thru was mono. That's no bueno. Same with the power. Put a big boy USB Connection on there for power. More robust, still universal.
Pad switch vs two models. Yes please.

Backbeat 2.0, stereo iem in/out, usb power, pad switch. Shut up and take my money.

I use the aux in for my IEM mix and phone out for IEMs run bass signal normal route to my bass flyrig. I feel the kick along with my bass works great! We are running mono so not sure if you can get stereo that way. Only complaint I have is it needs labeling for all the jacks. Thanks for the video nice to see a review.

I have a 1st and 2nd gen of the backbeat. I am pretty sure, the AUX is stereo. Maybe not. I'll have to double check that. Their 2nd generation solves all your concerns.

These now have stereo mapping but how would you be able to get the feel of the kick and toms into the backbeat? I know you can run the in-ears into it but that wouldn’t make drums vibrate would it?

Can I ask what wireless system you are using for your bass ? I'm also curious where you got that transmitter holder that is so perfectly paired to your strap. I am doing a ton of In ear gigs, I tried this at NAMM, but the wires and everything, everywhere left a bad taste in my mouth. I'm reconsidering now.

Dude, your in Chesterfield. Thats 45mins away from me. To bad I didn't know ahead of time, I would have made time to get out there. But the wife recently had major surgery cancer related. My plate is extra full. Good stuff thanks. Maybe it's for the better cuz I would convince you to at least curve the bill of your hat. I know you wear it crooked to block recording light. I recently send my backbeat in for repair which it didn’t need. I sent my backbeat in because I wasn’t getting the thump that I getting before on my fender p bass. I recently had to send my bass In because the pickups were not working and the volume knob just dropped… not sure if the backbeat and my bass aren’t working together so I’m having both checked out. Has this ever happened to anyone that you know of.

I was reading a forum where some users described the Backbeat as a wrecking ball, when you take off the bass the heavy Backbeat unit is likely to swing and hit the bass. You have to be extra careful. Some users have several big dings from this. Have you experienced any risk of bashing your bass?
