The Starfield portable Tri-Pier 1000 is the ultimate upgrade for your mount to improve its stability. Weighing only 16lbs, and supporting over 175lbs. Super simple to setup. It comes with a padded heavy duty carrying bad, and mount adapters for ZWO AM5/AM3, Skywatcher, Takahashi, Rainbow Astro, Crux, and a 3/8's adapter. The Legs slide out and lock into position without any fuss. Once deployed leveling the pier is easy with the leveler feet, and its ball joined pads making uneven surfaces easy to deal with.

That is my primary tripod/pier at home. I use it with the AM5 - works great!!

Got my from FLO as open box item and saved a bunch. With the included carry case, it's a wonderful mount accessory for me. Feels much more stable than the ZWO CF tripod so for me this is a win.

I've seen this pier sold under a whole different number of brands and at a massive range of prices from around £300 to this one in the video at $950!
It does look to be a pretty solid design and is definitely on my wishlist, but i know i will be doing my research before parting with my cash and definitely not paying this much for it!

great product - I use it with an AM5 and Askar 140APO since it really needs a pier so as to not swing the camera into the legs of a regular tripod.

Nice review! I have a Gear60 refractor from Starfield and I love it!

I had a William Optics branded version of this exact tri-pier and wasn’t happy with the stability. You can hear a squeaky noise in the video every time he touches it. This is exactly what my version did as it is not very stable. On top of all that the price is very high for what you get. Just my .2 cents

Looks good, but does it have a mountain leg for more uneven terrain? IE, I have my setup usually on a medium grad driveway, as that is the best view I have of most of the sky. Not sure if the leveling feet would be enough. I guess I could add something solid underneath one of the legs. Looks like a nice product, and not super expensive, even in US dollars! thanks for sharing

Altair had these once... was selling them for half of this.

It's a great looking product and I would love to have one, but the price is scaring me off. I will have to stay with my heavy SkyWatcher tripod.

It didn't sound all that solid and I was trying to spot a locking screw on that bayonet fitting but couldn't see one.
I'd be reluctant to put expensive gear on it and have to rely on only a bayonet connection.

950C hell that's cheaper that the comprable tri-pier from iOptron

Like the mount. Just can’t justify the price. $850+tax+shipping= $1022.

Beautiful tripod, but not sure who considers that "portable"?
