i have a question about conservation of energy in classical mechanics.
Let us imagine two guys wearing identical jet suits that they use to fly. One of them is very obese to the point that he just hovers a few metres high and stays there instead of going higer or lower.
The jet suit takes chemical energy and turns it into heat radiation and kinetic energy in form of thrust. Since the two suits are identical they consume the same amount of fuel and produce the same amount of heat radiation and thrust.

The question is since the obese guy is going to hover in the same altitude his potential gravitational energy is going to be fixed. While the other guy is going to be gaining altitude and therefore his gravitational potential energy is going to be increasing with time.
How can the concept of conservation of energy to these two systems since they both use the same amount of chemical energy and output the same amount of heat sound and radation but one of them us gaining gravitational potential energy!!!
In each system the sum of energy produced from heat sound radiation and kinetic per second should equal the chemical energy being converted.
