A representative of a car manufacturing plant asks the workers leaving the factory at the end of their shift what type of car they drive. x represents the number of each type of car.
1) Each trial must be independent form every other trial.
2) Each trial has 2 possible outcomes.
3) There are n repeated trials.
4) Probability of success + probability of failure = 1
5) The random variable, x, is the number of successes that occur in all the trials.
How to make x a binomial random variable?

Are the employees really independent? What if husband and wife BOTH work at the same plant and are sampled? Not an uncommon event.
