I´m from Brazil, I have been fishing for about 20 years.The pacu is an omnivore fish. When it is the season of most fruits, it eats fruits rather than meat, but when there is little fruits it will eat meat. Knowing this we can chose the right bait during certain months.

Oh my God ...I'm from Philippines my boyfriend have 4 pacus in his 6meter tank and they seems to get huge very fast because he sometimes feeds them raw meat like pork and sometimes big fish pellets

Used to raise these in fish tanks with my cichlids as a kid. They grow big and are brawlers.

Caught loads in Brazil. Pacu up to 40 lbs and Tambaqui at 26kg (60lbs) they’re incredibly strong. The fight can last 30 minutes ! So strong, they will wack your face with the tail...
