The Driftless Area is one of the greatest secrets in plain sight. Even most natives know little about its geological uniqueness which has led to unique biodiversity in the area. There are many species that cannot live in any of the surrounding areas outside of the Driftless Area. I have considered moving to the area as I love the outdoors.

This is amazing! We are from Winona as well, been really trying to enjoy the outdoors more here. Kayaking and hiking in the trempeauleau area is our favorite!

This was awesome! Thanks for sharing! My husband and I fell in love with Winona and surrounding areas when we visited the past 2 years. Now we want to move up to the Driftless. There is just something to be said about the Driftless...4 different glaciers missing the area. Must be sacred somehow.💜💜
