The vibration test jig was really interesting. Thanks for the time and efforts you put into making videos.

When I saw the title, I wondered if you had somehow managed to find a way to subject meters to direct lightning strikes.

Keep up the videos Joe. My vote is in. As entertaining as the videos are I just love the stuff you design and build for these tests. Any thoughts on this? “I recently purchased an old used Keithley 197 bench meter for cheap, it worked great as far as being accurate, but none of the soft keys would function. Tore it down and all the conductive material seemed to be gone on the softkeys with a very high resistance on what little was left. Board looked fine with really no signs of excessive wear. I manually shorted the contacts to make sure it was working and it was. I took some adhesive backed copper foil I use for shielding guitar pickup cavities against EM noise and cut small pieces to stick to the soft keys. Works like a champ. Surprised that wore so easy on a quality meter like that. All 4 were dead”.

Scenic DMM testing - that's gotta be a first! I was looking forward to summer, but that gave me the shiver's.

You could make a thermal box based on peltiers so you can cycle it from warm to cold faster. On the other hand, the test you did now in the car is more real life but it takes a while. I have seen a Fluke scopemeter with a dead display after a night in a car at -28 degrees C.

I would like to see testing of the Aneng V7, a recently released meter. It has the so called "smart test" mode, in which the meter theoretically can determine what type of test you are trying to do when you put your probes on something (AC/DC voltage, current, resistance, etc.). As well, I am curious to see if they have improved the robustness of this generation of meters over the Aneng AN8000 series meters, which was not very good at all.

is this cryogenics for multimeters? Rattling meter at 34:25?
