Manipur Election 2024: Following incidents of firing, intimidation, and destruction of EVMs at certain polling booths, the Election Commission has mandated repolling at 11 stations in the Inner Manipur constituency on April 22. Allegations of booth capturing have also surfaced, adding to the tension in conflict-hit Manipur. Despite the challenges, the state recorded a relatively high voter turnout of over 68% in both the Inner and Outer Manipur Lok Sabha constituencies during the first phase of polling.
