The Power of the Dog and Drive My Car deserved the Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay more. I'm glad that The Power of the Dog won the Critics Choice Award for Best Adapted Screenplay and Drive My Car won Best Screenplay at Cannes Film Festival.

No disrespect to CODA, but Drive My Car is a straight up masterpiece. They should have even won the Best Picture and Ryusuke Hamaguchi should've won Best Director.

While the original screenplay category is great because they’re original, adapted screenplays are just as great because they took other works and brought them to life on screen

Drive My Car was the true winner. It had more to say about being deaf in 5 minutes than this film did in its entirety.

Okay guys you can actually win an Oscar by translating a foreign script into English. No creativity needed, just make sure you know a bit of French.
