Importing Airfoil into SolidWorks (1 of 4) DesignFOIL

Using DesignFOIL, you can easily import any airfoil into SolidWorks. Once in SolidWorks I'll show you how to scale your airfoil into the proper size.

YES. Thanks a lot. Was trying to import the dat file of the clark-y airfoil by initially trying to insert the curve through x, y, z points. Spent the last two hours trying to do that...it finally worked but i couldn't extrude for some reason... your method was indeed a lot easier. The un-synced audio made it a bit confusing but eventually I got it! (To anybody who needs help importing the clark-y airfoil due to its confusing given data points in the dat file, msg me and I'll help you out.)

Nope... don't have a "crack" but my version doesn't expire for some reason. Not sure how that happened

When I import an airfoil cross section geometry, solidworks does not let me select it for 'Convert Entitites'
How can this be fixed

Hey my designfoil demo version has expired. So I had to import the dxf file. Do you know how to remove the spline points when i import a dxf file? I tried your method of creating a separate plane then converting entities but the spline points are still there?
