Alluka, the dark haired child has a second being living within him that grants wishes in exchange for fulfilling three of it's requests. If you so no to the four chances (requests) it gives you; it will kill you, the person you love the most and the people you have spent the most amount of time with in descending order. The amount of people the being will kill is in proportion to the scale of the last wish it granted. Essentially, if the last person wished for a million dollars, it will take a million dollars from somewhere else and give it to them. The next person it makes requests of will get hard requests propotional to a million dollar wish; like give me your left big toe or give me your hand etc. The only way to reset it back to easy requests is to either wish for something small scale or wish for it to heal.

The child Alluka is a child of the Zoldick family, a family of rich assassins with a bunchbof butlers. The brown haired lady is one of those Butlers and the assassin family is using her to understand what exactly the being living in Alluka is. They told her to refuse every request to see what would happen.
