Is the ONLY ISLAND in SLOVENIA Worth The Hype? (LAKE BLED) 🇸🇮

Lake Bled Slovenia is one of the top tourist destinations in Slovenia and arguably in this region of the world. We are only in Bled for one day, so today, we explore things to do in Bled, Slovenia’s only island to see if it is worth the hype.

People started visiting the famous Lake Bled Island back in the 12th century. They would take pletnas, a special type of boat, to cross Lake Bled, and get to the church on Bled island. In this Lake Bled video, we will do just that. We are camping at Lake Bled, so we will be walking from Camp Bled to the pletnas, hopping on a boat to show you how to get to Lake Bled, and cross to the church on Lake Bled Island. This afternoon, we will be showing you lots of Lake Bled activities and hopefully getting you excited for your future trip to Slovenia, or making you nostalgic about your previous trip from Slovenia.

It is the natural color of the lake ... the clarity of the water and because it's a glacier lake, gives it that particular color. No chemicals are in that water. Check out river Soča, you'll see even nicer shades of those colors... and yes, welcome to our little country 🙏
