Hey Scott,  

It was new. I found a tip that recommended "massaging" the rubber around the bell, which I guess allowed the rubber to get closer to the trigger. It helped a lot, and the bell triggers much more naturally now... still not as sensitive as a real cymbal, but much better than before. Thanks!

Love the cymbals in my new TD17KVX kit but out of the box bell on my CY13R doesn't work...also no choke. Purchased from Kraft Music and my sales person actually told me Roland wasn't aware of this problem.... LOL !

The out of the box bell trigger on my CY-13R is nowhere near as sensitive as this demo shows. Adjusting the trigger settings in the TD-15 does not help at all. Even the manual says "strike firmly with the edge of the stick" to play the bell.

Roland, do pple a favor and stop over pricing ur things. Do u know what a budget is? Yes, those exist and some pple are on them. smh. Saw this ride for 200-300.

Yeah, I have a CY-12C that cracked in several places with normal Rock playing. I can drive over a frisbee, my dog can chew on it too, but the Roland CY-12C which you are supposed to hit with some light sticks cracks when playing Metallica. Sadly Im out of warranty - I do think it is a manufacturing failure to make the plastic so brittle.

Hey I just got one of these and it only came with one cable but there is 2 inputs....do I gotta buy another cable or should you only choose 1 inlet

As usual, roland's vids make their crap sound so cool. When you try it in real tho, nothing work, it sounds lile crap and you have plenty of triggering issues

This shows exactly what is wrong with electronic cymbals. When you do a swell you're not supposed to hear every hit of the stick.

The Malaysia made Roland are terrible... I never had that many cymbals failing in a Roland kit. Bought two TD 17, they both have some problems.
