2012 Camaro V6 vs. 2013 Mustang V6

Camaro is stock manual, Mustang has axel back with a cold air intake, no tune.

the new v6 stangs are a very decent car. they recieved a nice buff from for in the 13s models. overall the stang is always gonna be better.

And even though I'm a Mustang kind of man (a Mustang was the first car I've owned)... the 2010 Camaro was the one of the greatest innovations ever in V6 engines, breaking the Ford bar by almost 100 horsepower, and the 2013 Camaro is amazing too, I mean 30 mpg is unheard of for newer muscle cars. I'm personally looking forward to the 2016 muscle cars... I want to see a combination of IRS on Mustangs with better fuel, and who knows what Chevrolet will be producing by then.

I love my Mustang win or lose. The style is totally awsome with the top up or down. The first week I bought my Mustang I got a ticket for doing 85 in a 55 so I don't plan on speeding to and from work everyday. Good luck on whatever you by. Its still lot of money for the car and insurance.

Mine ran 13.9 with a tune only. Probably around 320 at the crank after the tune. My 60 ft time suck though! 3.31 gears, and crappy stock tires make for difficult launches. 2.2 60 ft lol. Going back soon, still on bald tires, but now the temps have come down, hoping for 13.5-13.7 before adding some grunt. 2011 V6 manual 3.7, 3.31 gears, premium. Weighs about 3535 with 1/4 tank and driver ... I will run any non-charged v6 camaro or V6 challenger lol.

Yeah actually they are the same year, I was mistaken. The 2013 was not out yet at the time of this video.

(PhenomenulHD) Yes it can. A 2010 synergy special edition 6MT was tested by Motor Trend and the best 0-60 was 5.6. Now the convertible puts around 300lbs more so yeah it' slower than the hard top.

because of lack of money my friend hehe, speaking about the monthlypayments aswell as the gas -mpg- rate, besidesi think the hp on the v6 is quite descent, nowadays.

How do you figure? Performance mustangs and performance camaros both have Brembos, the camaros weigh more but the Mustangs carry more speed into corners, thus causing a bit more friction....i'd say it's very even on the braking side of things. What you might be forgetting about is that GM's get heat-soaked. Quickly. Actually, it's been a GM issue (and oil consumption back in the day) for decades, and is most obvious in the ZL1/CTS-V. Underengineered cooling & lack of forged pistons....

i agree....i have a 2012 2ls camaro and i love it but i know the v6 stang is faster than my car....alot to do with a pretty big weight difference....but i think with a good driver in the camaro it wouldave been alot closer

how is the 2013 far better? a stang with a performance pack does 5.3-5.4 0-60, does the camaro even beat 6 seconds?

CAI and axle-back should only add a small handful of horsepower. The Camaro has 323 stock while the Mustang has 305 stock. This is still definitely a fair race.

Camaro's running IRS over the Mustang, and everyone knows CAI = 0 gains, and axel backs without supporting mods do not net you anything. They are both technically stock.
