Wrong. earth is rotating at a speed 465.1 m/s, if gravity were to stop all the object having mass will not just float but will start moving at very high speed because the earth will still be rotating. And further more if gravity stops the planet will stop pulling earth atmosphere and water, A lack of air will cause a significant pressure change enough to tear up apart and without O2 we cannot survive. And concrete structures will crumble as there will be not enough oxygen to act as a binding agent.
If the gravity stops even for 5 seconds live will go extinct. Well I do agree with the earth loosing its orbit. But don't worry that's not going to happen so rest assured
