Grant Hill was one of the most popular players in the league back in 95-96.

For the second straight year he led all players in votes for the NBA’s All-Star game (yes he led the league in his Rookie year, and his Sophomore year with Jordan back in the mix).

He was the leagues 18th highest points per game scorer in 95-96, or 9th among players selected for Team USA.

He was at that point an absolute phenom and alongside Anfernee Hardaway (11th, 7th respectively) was an heir apparent.

Through those Olympics, the leading scorers were - C. Barkley (2); D. Robinson (2); S. Pippen (1 + 2nd to Malone); A. Hardaway (1); M. Richmond (1); K. Malone (1).

While the one hour long process to be drug tested didn’t sound like a lot of fun, and Grant Hill has a sound/great reputation - one still cannot help but think that some players may have avoided the test in fear of getting caught cheating, and Grant raising this after lots of questions regarding the 2024 selections which he is overseeing raises more questions.

Overall it seems odd that someone would admit this in his role at this time.
