As we all know, western cuisine has no taste compared to Southeast Asian cuisine which is famous for its strong spices and flavors..US franchise will not be able to survive if they do not use new approaches, especially in southeast asian

Having lived in Thailand for over 20 years, I can say their fast food is on another level! 🍔🔥 The quality, unique menu items, and flavors are unbeatable. Who else thinks Thai fast food is better than the original?

Pizza Hut as Phuket - the most precise delivery time I ever experienced in my life, we used to order pizza and spaghetti in the office for lunch and trackable delivery was precise up to one minute! Wow, huge respect to these people.

I’ve visited Thailand 11 times since 2001. The fast food American chain restaurants keep the traditional food, then they add their own recipes. It’s cool. A lot of it’s pretty good.

International franchises are blending local flavors with American fast food, and honestly, they’re not ruining it—they’re saving it. If they stuck to just the standard American menu, they’d be out of business in months. Adapt or disappear—that’s how food survives.

I'm a big fast food fan and I recently went to Thailand. The Mcdonalds truffle burgers are really good, and the KFC green curry is the best fast food item on the planet in my opinion. The value for your money at these restaurants reminds me of the old days in America (like 15 years ago) when you could ball out for $10. Thailand is this way in general; your money goes very far. But the fast food is really solid overall.

Kfc in Thailand is arguably among the best in the world, their spicy fried chicken and the super spicy&sour chicken wing can’t be missed. As for pizza hut, it used to be much better until about 20 years ago, the US head office decided to terminate the agreement between them and the local licensee in Thailand, as a result, the local licensee opened up “Pizza Company” which basically an upgraded version of pizza hut. Pizza hut quality dropped significantly and the vast majority of locals switched to pizza company instead.

Thai people are being paid about 6-10 times lower than the US or EU for exactly the same job, for example a pro barista makes between 300-500 usd a month, an accountant fresh out from top schools makes around 800. That’s why everything is much cheaper here. I would say life is much easier if you are from the west (I’m Thai but studied in the UK, and used to work in the US). Imagine being a Harvard new graduate landed a first job in prestigious firm but your salary is still not high enough to buy an iphone, that’s how Thailand is.

Pro tip: Every Tuesday im Thailand, KFCs offers a discount on one of their menus with those spicy chicken only, it’s 199 baht which translates to less than 2/3 of 10 bucks. Enjoy yourself some chicken folks.

This guy went to KFC, said that it is a king of fried chicken and doesn’t even order any fried chickens. In fact, if you are going to Thai KFC, you must order fried chicken, wing zaab chicken, egg tarts. These are the most selling dish in KFC.

Living in Thailand now. They adapt and add fast food dishes and flavors to their taste. Frankly, McDonald's tastes better in Thailand than it does in the USA.
