Then when you get off the phone they go “oh look who’s finally off the phone, have you come to actually hang out with your family for once?”

Parents who act like this actually infuriate me to no end

This is probably why everyone prefers texting now a days and then parents will be like back in my day we actually talked to each other

She says "What friend?" like it's impossible that you have a friend.

You know you dragged that phone to what ever room or closet the cord could reach and closed that door.

The more I see these the more I realize how privileged I am to have parents who have always respected my privacy and my freetime.

I see the mom is trying to complete a nursing home speed run

The fact that she talks about having a landline like it's some treasured learning experience... Like, my guy. You know we all were dragging those things as far as they could go away from everyone else-

And then they be like : Why do my kids not visit me anymore?

This is why I want my own place. I still have this problem. With the phone, trying to go hang out with people. And then they ask me, "How come you don't have friends and go out?" 😒

This is so painfully accurate and a reason why I’m paranoid about phone calls around my family. “We’ll talk on the phone later, my family is nosey about when I talk to on the phone” I’m 23 yrs old and they still do it 😤

The more stories I hear I realize I’m so blessed to have parents that respect me and understand being tired or bored etc.

I was born in a generation before cell phones, and you had to share a land-line phone with other people living in the same home. It was common courtesy to give the person on the phone whatever privacy you can, by stepping into another room, closing a door, and being quiet if you couldn't leave the room, and doing you best to not listen in.

"No, I distinctly remember grandpa telling me you made him install a party line in your room because you were such an irritating little bear that when you did take your calls in the kitchen, you made absolutely sure they were not private."

This may be one of the most relatable sketches I've ever seen... I love calling people, but... Yeah, no joke, texting is way easier these days to deal with...

I hope I never become this type of person because suffering it has literally created so many privacy issues for me.

Just realized why I go outside for every phone call😂

You are uncomfortably good at acting. Your characters are so good I forget they aren't real. Brilliant.
