I believe it depends on the dog and the dogs ages I have an American XXL Bully Female and an American XL Bully Male and my Male is lean and athletic my Female is plumb and not quite as athletic she still runs my 1/4 acre backyard but she's not as fast as my male but just a for instance my male will chase squirrels around the tree trunks but he's never caught one even though he can actually run up the tree and do a spiraling backflip he can also do in on my 6 ft. wooden fence but my female will sit and watch the squirrel run around the tree for a bit then as the squirrel starts running around the tree she goes in the opposite direction and wines up face to face with the squirrel and grabs it she actually ate one whole because I was telling her to drop it and she was so excited that she caught it she just swallowed it she has also grabbed a bird 🐦 that was flying low thru the yard I actually couldn't believe it she jumped from a sitting position and caught the darn thing😮😮😮😮 now with that said I am taking her to the Veterinarian because I think she's a little overweight and I need to figure out how to get her to lose weight if my Veterinarian agrees with me about her weight. There a year apart in age and I do feed raw like Trev has taught me to but I do add kibble with their raw diet it's a all life stages kibble I will ask my Veterinarian if I should switch it to one thats just for dogs 1- 7 year's

Chicken quarters at my Walmart are 87 cents a pound my dogs eat them every day

And shit you didn’t even grab any chicken or beef liver I get all my dogs liver from Walmart too

As for sardines the big cans in tomato sauce are more cost effective and the tomato sauce has some benefits for the dogs as well
